  1. From what they show here, the restoration looks to be so clearly lovingly done, it looks gorgeous.

  2. It’s important to note that the mere fact that there is a Volume 2 is a miracle.

    When Volume 1 came out, the people who wanted it to happen just barely managed to convince the higher ups to give the green light. Basically, they managed to create a deal where Popeye Vol. 1 would be the last physical media HD release of cla**ic shorts owned by Warner (in general) if it failed to sell well.

    Apparently, it did sell well enough that a Vol. 2 came out. Which is good. If you want to see theatrical shorts rereleased like this, showing that there is a market for them is the best way to do so.
