  1. Isn’t it a bit premature to say when a movie will wrap when it hasn’t even started filming yet?

  2. A quiet place had some of the best sound mixing i’ve ever heard. The use of atmos and low frequency effects were just insane. Let’s hope the second one is just as good.

  3. I loved the first one. The only way I can see it having a sequel that works is if it immediately starts off with where we left off. Other than that, idk man. But imma still watch it lol

  4. I’m REALLY hoping that the sequel is actually a prequel. I’d love to know how the invasion started and how humanity handled that.

What I don’t want is a 28 Weeks Later situation. In the sense that the first one in the series is an awesome horror movie, and the second one is a cool action movie with slight horror elements, a Quiet Place sequel has a lot of potential to keep the strong horror elements which I hope they stay with.

  5. The movie will be 30 minutes of people chucking toy rockets into a canyon before dumping white phosphorus on the monsters and killing them.

  6. I wonder how they’ll do this next one after the ending of the first one. Or if John Krasinski is just directing it?

  7. I personally frothed over this movie. Loved it, will gladly watch the second although I am a little dubious. Just hope it holds up.

  8. I was incredibly disappointed by the story. it was well done but the premise was weak and silly. I really can’t imagine such creatures being able to kill off so many humans wo us discovering their rather obvious weakness.

  9. Fun fact, I saw A Quiet Place before watching The Office (ever).

Super impressed with his career. He seems like a genuinely nice guy

  10. Minority opinion it seems, but I quite dislike the first movie.

The first act was great, with good suspense and some smart thinking on the part of the parents. Seeing life in the new world was, at first, fascinating to see. Then they reveal that you can just be near a constant noise source and make whatever noise you want, and then even worse that the creatures are incredibly sensitive to a particular high pitched sound.

Why didn’t the family make some loud noise machine so that they would be safer?

Failing that, why didn’t they just live by the water fall.

How was there enough time pre-apocalypse to figure out that the creatures hunt with sound to the point of printing it on a newspaper, yet somehow not one government in the world thought to try that as a weapon, or defense a la a giant waterfall?

An intriguing premise that completely ripped me out of the immersion by the end. Movie doesn’t warrant a sequel.

  11. This has the potential to add quite a bit to the world of the first movie and keep things interesting but I don’t have my hopes up

  12. Maybe this time they’ll forget whatever bullshit macguffin the hearing aid was supposed to be and work out that they can just play metal over their speakers all the time instead of trying to be quiet.

It better be called A Quiet Place: Party Planet

  13. Question I i got a download of the movie from a friend;and there were no subs for the sign language. Was this intentional? I mean I followed the film fine without it. Or was there subs for it and I basically missed a whole chunk of plot?

  14. Alright but Krasinski was largely what made people give a shit about the film to begin with… I just don’t imagine them capturing the same family unit now that he won’t even be on-screen with his real wife anymore due to his death.

  15. Not really sure this needed a sequel, though I’d like to see him direct some other things.

  16. I feel like I’ve never really seen wrap announcements til this month and now this is like the fifth one. I’ve seen plenty of filming announcements in the news with start dates, just never wrap dates til recently

  17. I love the con that is this movie. Actors getting away with not saying a single word. It’s incredible.

  18. I hope is a prequel and we learn that Jim was the creator of a signal that lead to the discovery of the earth by aliens.

  19. The plot should involve them going to live next to the waterfall.

And that’s it. Cos the creatures can’t hear them above the ambient noise of the waterfall. And they all lived happily ever after.

    Dumb

  20. How do you wrap a date with an entire city?

But seriously, I’m interested in seeing where this film goes

  21. I can’t believe that so many people were crazy about the first one. It was a standard monster movie with a gimmick tacked on.
