  1. I was so confused in the 2nd half when they changed announcers. Biggest match of the year and they bottled it

  2. > You’d think TNT would send some announcers to Madrid for the Champions League final, but you probably guessed by now that did not happen. Perhaps because no one actually wanted to give Turner Sports money to watch the Champions League on B/R Live but probably because Turner Sports doesn’t actually give any fucks about soccer,

Spot on. When TNT took over from Fox fans feared it’s merely a commercial decision, they are there only for the money, the quality of broadcasting will go downhill. And that’s exactly what happened. There is hardly any effort or passion put in the game, except all the effort were used to hide every single game behind pay wall.

I don’t think TNT will last very long in this game if they keep up like this. Fans will just give up, and find something else to watch.

  3. Also, I don’t know if this was their fault or not, but I noticed most CL games this year were horribly mic-ed up. Like, you could barely hear the crowds or anything all all. There was just feint background noise behind some loud-ass announcers.

  4. When they thought putting a basketball player as one of the analysts was a good idea I knew it was fucked.

    >”Well Nash is a huge spurs fan”

Yeah, so are tons of people you’d find watching the game in a sports bar. Take one of them if that’s the only job criteria.

    >”Nash likes to play the sport and is good.”

Again, sodo/are many fans of the sport. Why him not them?

    >”Nash’s parents are from the UK and dad played!”

….. parental lineage and job is a resume builder. Got it.

*the above is a preemptive response to the replies I always get justifying putting Nash in the studio. He is there because they do not respect/value the audience and are just trying to financially capitalize on the growth of the sport here. And the obtuse idiocy thought putting an NBA player in there would draw more eyeballs.
