  1. > I am not against vaccinations — I support children getting vaccinations and I also support families having the right to make educated medical decisions for their children alongside their physicians

If you’re getting advice from a physician, you’re not against vaccinations. You’re getting sound medical advice, and that advice is “vaccinate your fucking kids you crazy fuck”

  2. So, she’s all for vaccines, but opposed to trying to use them for their primary purpose of achieving herd immunity.

Which means that she is functionally opposed to vaccines.

*”I’m not opposed to people driving, I just don’t like roads and cars!”*

  3. *”My dearest friends have a child with a medical condition that warrants an exemption from vaccinations, and should this bill pass, it would greatly affect their family’s ability to care for their child in this state,” she wrote.*

Her PR team might want to educate her before she attempts damage control: Those are the very people we are trying to protect via herd immunity—ugh!

(I also notice she doesn’t mention an exemption for her own child..)

  4. Too late. You destroyed your reputation. Enjoy being blacklisted for the rest of your life. Fucking moron.

  5. Right Jessica..”I’m tots pro vaccine but you know, people should be able to like not get them if they don’t want. “

  6. It’s really sad that so many people look up to and take after celebrities who have no understanding of the importance of vaccinating and the consequences of not doing so.
I don’t remember Jessica Biel or Jenny McCarthy ever having a PhD..? maybe spreading herself open all over playboy, but never seen anything about going to medical school … jfs

Edit: where’s the lie? She pretends to be this wholesome *home and hearth, natural MegaMom* and she’s not. We all know *how* she started and where she came from, someone should’ve kicked her off the soapbox the moment she started squawking this anti-vaccinating shit…

  7. Knowing the family occupations, their children will likely spend more time traveling than the norm. Waiting for them to be refused entry to certain countries and claim they’re being unfairly treated.

  8. Seeing the many anti vaxx moms in the comments of her Instagram posts made me lose a ton of brain cells.

  9. Currently doctors have a lot of leeway in choosing what necessitates a medical exemption.
But I don’t think the govt should be saying what is and isn’t acceptable for gaining one as docs need to have that freedom, but I have noticed that a handful of docs are generally responsible for the majority of the exemptions where I live.
all this misinformation has hurt people who don’t understand the science behind it (not trying to imply their stupid, just that the info can be manipulated as it has been and they’re overlooking all the plentiful evidence it works).

I honestly think it’s borderline abusive and neglect to deny your kid vaccines in a world with bio weapons and outbreaks on the reg but that’s just me.

I just have a hard time understanding how anyone doesn’t believe in vaccines. I’m not trying to be mean, but really, it’s basic science. The connections they pull and say are linked are wtf to me.

  10. I am not against recycling used motor oil— I support recycling used motor oil and I also support people having the right to make educated decisions whether to recycle used motor oil or dump it in the ocean. That’s why we should eliminate laws about dumping used motor oil.

  11. She’s just trying to spin it. You don’t support this shit if you’re not anti-vax. She just knows it’s not a good look.

  12. The problem is’t “everyone else can get vaccinated I don’t judge”. It’s a FACT that being anti vax, even if it’s just *your* family, is still putting those with no immunity in danger, herd immunity is arguably more important then anything else. People with kemo or legit allergic reactions to vaccines CANT BE VACCINATED, that makes it the responsibility of everyone else to do so, to not is incredibly irresponsible, selfish, and absolutely idiotic

  13. If they are so dead set on going back to the Dark Ages, just give them all some crazy Lord of the Flies island to raise their kids on.

  14. > “My dearest friends have a child with a medical condition that warrants an exemption from vaccinations, and should this bill pass, it would greatly affect their family’s ability to care for their child in this state,” she wrote. “That’s why I spoke to legislators and argued against this bill. Not because I don’t believe in vaccinations, but because I believe in giving doctors and the families they treat the ability to decide what’s best for their patients and the ability to provide that treatment.”

Doctors, yes. Families, no. There should obviously be medical exceptions but personal/family choice should not be a part of the decision. For everyone else that wants to participate in society, vaccinations should be mandatory.

  15. This is the same shit other anti-vaxxers hock. Some of them, such as Bill Maher, usw germ theory denialism as a more subtle method to stump for anti-vaccination.

  16. The only excuses for not vaccinating are with people with allergies and immune system issues, and those are the exact people that herd immunity protects. If “educated medical decisions” are anything outside of these exceptions, they aren’t educated.
