  1. He’s so well spoken, I could listen to him talk for hours. And the straightening of the tie before he fell was so Gus, he really knew that character inside and out.

  2. Unpopular opinion but I never liked the part where he adjusts his tie after getting blown up. It was cartoony and corny.

Edit: by looking at the upvotes maybe it’s not such an unpopular opinion

  3. Literally just watched that episode a few hours ago. Esposito’s such a brilliant actor in that role.

  4. This is why I found the latter 2 seasons of BB worse than the first ones. Not bad, just worst. It seemed so grounded and kinda realistic. It actually threatened to make me question my opinions of people like this and the war in drugs. Then it really started moving towards superhero territory and fishing for big moments. It just felt less organic and frankly, important in a bigger discussion.

I really disliked this scene. It was unbearably stupid compare to what the show used to be. Sure it was comical and sometimes even surreal from the beginning but is had a lot more weight to it. Then it became over the top just for the sake of drama.

  5. Originally they had cast Alan Hale Jr, however he objected to the character’s seedy nature. Upon reading the script, he shouted Gilligan’s name and hit him with his hat.
